El Mar Diving Center Service

With over 40 years of scuba equipment service and repair at our AZ dive shop, we have worked on it all- from the old style double hose regs to the latest rebreather units. We take dive equipment service very seriously to ensure you the best in quality and satisfaction.

At El Mar Diving Center we have the largest scuba equipment repair facility in Arizona, the largest selection of parts available, and can service virtually all brands of scuba gear.

For visual inspection of aluminum cylinders we inspect with Visual Plus 3 , developed by a leader in state-of-the-art nondestructive technology. Visual Plus 3 uses eddy currents to thoroughly inspect the threaded neck region of aluminum cylinders. As the electrical current flows through the metal, Visual Plus 3 measures tiny fluctuations in the electrical current and can detect the smallest imperfections. By using Visual Plus 3 we are able to detect cylinder flaws that other inspectors, who rely on only the naked eye, might miss or wrongly diagnose.

In addition we offer standard visual inspection for steel cylinders, hydrostatic testing, annuals and complete overhauls. With a complete service center we stock most parts so you can get your equipment back as soon as possible. Our normal turn around time is approximately two weeks. Remember to have your equipment serviced yearly to help extend the life and eliminate any surprises on your trips.

In addition to service we offer pure air and Nitrox filling up to 3500 psi. We are an approved ANDI and TDI Advanced gas blending Facility.

Certified Air
El Mar Diving Center has the largest compressor system in Arizona and can fill any size cylinder to any pressure up to 4500 psi. With our extensive compressor and storage system, El Mar will always be able to fill your cylinders.

Compressor System
The compressor system at El Mar Diving Center consists of a Poseidon P800 as the primary pump with a Bauer K14 and two RIX Compressors as backup pumps. The compressed air is then filtered five times before being stored in the storage cylinders. The air is then delivered to the customer's tank from the storage cylinders and boosted to the rated pressure with a Haskel Booster if needed.

Nitrox
At El Mar Diving Center we are capable of filling your Nitrox cylinders up to 75% without using a more complicated and costly system, which keeps us at a lower price per fill than other shops.

Nitrox System
El Mar utilizes a partial pressure system to fill Nitrox Tanks. By using this method, we can offer 21% to 75% Nitrox.
The cylinder is first filled with a predetermined amount of oxygen, using a partial pressure filling manifold assembly. Then after the oxygen is added, the cylinder is then filled with hyper-filtered air. When the cylinder has been filled it will be analyzed for accuracy of the fill percentage. (i.e. 32% Nitrox)
